ONLY ONE WAREHOUSE WITH OBSOLETE PESTICIDES REMAINS IN THE VITEBSK REGION

Works on the removal from the Republic of Belarus and environmentally sound elimination of obsolete pesticides from the warehouses of the Vitebsk region are carried out within the Project (the Grodno region has already been completely cleared of these hazardous wastes).

As of the end of November 2022, 20 warehouses have been completely cleared of hazardous wastes (more than 500 tonnes).

4.              Warehouse of the UE "Housing and communal services of the Rossony district" (Rossony, Vitebsk region);

5.              Warehouse of the JSC "Tolochinsky rayagroservis" (Tolochin district, Vitebsk region);

6.              Warehouse of the JSC "Dubrovensky rayagroservis" (Dubrovno district, Vitebsk region);

7.              Warehouse of the JSC "Lepelagroservis" (Lepel district, Vitebsk region);

8.              Warehouse of the SE "Ustye" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Orsha district, Vitebsk region);

9.              Warehouse of the JSC "Belenevo" (Senno district, Vitebsk region);

10.          Warehouse of the JSC "Liozensky rayagroservis" (Liozno district, Vitebsk region);

11.          Warehouse of the CUPE "Gorodok enterprise of boiler houses and heating networks" (Gorodok, Vitebsk region);

12.          Warehouse of the JSC "Vitebsky rayagroservis" (Vitebsk region);

13.          Warehouse of the JSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm" (Vitebsk district, Vitebsk region);

14.          Warehouse of the UE "Shumilinsky rayagroservis" (Shumilino district, Vitebsk region);

15.          Warehouse of the SE "Dunilovichi-AGRO" (Postavy district, Vitebsk region);

16.          Warehouse of the JSC "Gluboksky agroservis" (Glubokoye district, Vitebsk region);

17.          Warehouse of the UE "Mnyuto" (Glubokoye district, Vitebsk region);

18.          Warehouse of the SE "Lomashi-Agro" (Glubokoye district, Vitebsk region);

19.          Warehouse of the JSC "Sharkovshchinsky agrotekhservis" (Sharkovshchina district, Vitebsk region);

20.          Warehouse of the JSC "Holding Management Company "GrodnoOblselkhoztekhnika";

At present, obsolete pesticides are being removed from the last warehouse in the Vitebsk region – the CUE "Polotsk housing and communal services" (Polotsk district).

Thus, the Project gradually solves such an important problem of persistent organic pollutants, which posed a serious threat to the environment and public health for many years.
