GRADUAL SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM OF OBSOLETE PESTICIDES

The International Technical Assistance Project "GEF-6 Belarus POPs Legacy and Sustainable Chemicals Management" carried out the removal of obsolete pesticides from the Grodno region and works are underway at the warehouses of the Vitebsk region. As of the end of October 2022, 17 warehouses were cleared of these hazardous wastes (about 400 tonnes).

Thus, the Project gradually solves such an important problem of persistent organic pollutants, which posed a serious threat to the environment and public health for many years.
